Ten outstanding short films being screened in Hanoi and HCM City for public voting as part of a competition run in this year’s Earth Hour campaign.

Earth Hour organised on March 23
The screened were chosen from the list of 41 products sent to the competition.
Each film carries its own message that is simple but persuasive. All the movies are aimed at calling for people to save energy and protect the global environment.
Director Phan Huyen Thu and director Nguyen Hong Quan were among the competition judges. The award-winning films will be announced on the evening Earth Hour day, March 23.
“I was very impressed by the entries. I didn’t imagine that such high-quality films could be produced in a month. These are great achievements by amateur film makers,” Phan Huyen Thu commented.
“I believe that these films would help popularise the messages of the Earth Hour campaign to more people,” Nguyen Hong Quan said.
The short-listed films included “Tuong lai cua em” or Children’s Future by the Storyteller Group, Electric Shake by the Gemini Team, “Goc nhin” or The View by The First team, “The gioi cua toi” or My World by the Summer Storm team, and “Me oi, con biet loi roi” or “Mum! It’s my fault!” by Be Mam team.
