On August 22, the Department of Health announced that three traders at Tan Lap Market on Pham Van Nghi Street and Sieu Thi Market on Vo Van Tan Street tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. Three traders sell fish sauce, spices and seafood at the markets and had contact with many people.
The department called for anyone who came into contact with the patients or had been in close proximity to their stores from August 19 to 21 to quickly go to the district medical centre to fill in medical declaration forms and receive guidance.
The market was closed on August 21 for disinfection.
