Business alliance to help improve Vietnam’s competitiveness

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the European Chamber of Commerce signed a cooperation agreement to build a business alliance.

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the European Chamber of Commerce (Eurocham) signed a cooperation agreement on October 12 to build a business alliance to speed up administration reforms and improve Vietnam’s competitiveness.

Under the agreement, which aims to improve the business environment in Vietnam and encourage economic growth, Eurocham will assist with administration reforms launched by the Vietnamese Government and create the best conditions to develop relationships between member businesses Eurocham partners, and state agencies of EU countries.

The establishment of the alliance will lay a firm foundation for the private sector to build a strong network of partners. It will also help mobilise resources to support the Government’s administration reforms.

We are confident that cooperation and joint effort will help Vietnam improve its competitiveness, said Eurocham Chairman Alan Cainy.

VCCI Vice Chairman Pham Gia Tuc said VCCI will work closely with multinational corporations and domestic businesses to implement the alliance’s activities to take advantage of their potential and improve the business environment in Vietnam.
