The Cai River Riverside Road project is one of Dong Nai City’s key infrastructure developments. Following the completion of site clearance, contractors are working to speed up construction.

The road will stretch about 4.6 kilometres, running from Ha Huy Giap Street in Tran Bien Ward to Tran Quoc Toan Street in Tam Hiep Ward. Designed to follow the riverbank, it will form a continuous scenic transport corridor through the urban centre.

With a total investment of VND 3.96 trillion (about USD 152 million) from the state budget, the project is intended not only to ease traffic congestion but also to support the city’s strategy for modern riverside urban development.

The investment reflects plans to expand Bien Hoa’s urban area towards the river. This is one of Dong Nai’s key development priorities under its planning framework to 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Two connecting roads linking Vo Thi Sau Street with the Cai River Riverside Road, running along both sides of Thong Nhat Bridge, are nearing completion. The area is a bustling part of Bien Hoa, with numerous shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.

Earlier, a 5.7-kilometre road along the Dong Nai River was opened to traffic, connecting Bien Hoa’s urban area with the former Vinh Cuu District and gradually helping to establish a more integrated network of scenic roads.
