Northern region to face three consecutive cold snaps

The northern region of Vietnam is forecasted to experience three consecutive cold spells from February 15-22, which bring light rain and cold temperatures of between 16-18 degrees Celsius.

According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the northern and central regions will see a light cold snap from February 15-17.

Cold and drizzle weather can be expected in the mornings and light sun will appear in the afternoons.

Two other slight cold spells will continue to hit the region on February 18-19 and February 20-21, which will keep temperatures low at 16-18 degrees Celsius and bring light rain. 

Meteorologists predict that in February, cold air masses will continue to impact the northern region with average temperatures being similar to the same asperiod last year. Meanwhile, the north-central and central region will see temperatures of 0.5–1 degrees lower than usual.
