The last five slots for archers qualifying for the French Olympics are based on athletes' individual achievements at major tournaments and their performance during Olympic qualification stages.

Since 2023 Anh Nguyet has put in outstanding performances at global tournaments such as the 2023 Asian Championships, the 19th Asian Games (ASIAD 19), the 2023 world championships, and the Olympic Asian zonal qualifier.

The athlete hailing from Hung Yen province has collected a total of 64 points from competing in tournaments, duly qualifying for the 2024 Summer Games.

Nguyet will also be the second Vietnamese archer to compete in Paris, alongside Le Quoc Phong who won the 12th Olympic ticket after progressing through to the quarter-final round of the Antalya 2024 Hyundai Archery World Cup, the last qualifier held prior to the Paris Olympics in Turkey on June 17.

This will mark the second Olympics in a row where Nguyet will represent Vietnam in the games.

The archery at the Olympics in Paris is scheduled to run over a seven-day period, from July 25 to August 4, at the Esplanade des Invalides. A total of 128 male and female archers will compete in individual events and mixed pairs.

By securing the 15th ticket, Vietnamese athletes have now achieved their set target of winning 12 to 15 slots at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The 15 Olympics slots have gone to Hoang Thi Tinh in Judo, Le Quoc Phong and Do Thi Anh Nguyet in archery, Nguyen Thi That in cycling, Nguyen Huy Hoang and Vo Thi My Tien in swimming, Trinh Thu Vinh and Le Thi Mong Tuyen in shooting, Trinh Van Vinh in weightlifting, Nguyen Thi Huong in canoeing, Pham Thi Hue in rowing, Nguyen Thuy Linh and Le Duc Phat in badminton, and Vo Thi Kim Anh and Ha Thi Linh in boxing.
