Hanoi to host 50,000-capacity concert for Vietnam Culture Day

Hanoi will host a concert for 50,000 people at My Dinh National Stadium on November 24 to mark Vietnam Culture Day, featuring music, cultural performances and fireworks.

The event will begin at 8 pm and run for 120 minutes, according to a plan issued by the Hanoi People's Committee.

The programme will trace the development of Vietnamese culture from its origins to the present and future, combining traditional heritage, contemporary creativity and modern stage technology.

The "Homeland in Our Hearts" (To Quoc Trong Tim) concert was held at My Dinh National Stadium last year

More than 38,000 free invitation tickets will be distributed, including 10,500 for residents of selected Hanoi wards and 7,000 available to the public through online platforms.

Most participating wards will receive 500 invitations each, while Tu Liem Ward, where the stadium is located, will receive 1,000.

The remaining tickets will be allocated to government agencies, organisations, international representatives, participating groups and volunteers.

The concert will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV), with Hanoi's broadcasting agency also streaming the event and installing LED screens for residents in areas farther from the city centre.

The Ministry of National Defence will coordinate arrangements at the stadium and provide 200 soldiers for the performances.

The Ministry of Public Security will oversee security arrangements and deploy 300 police cadets for a ceremonial drum performance.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will provide artistic guidance to ensure a balance between traditional and modern elements.

Hanoi's cultural authorities and broadcasting agency will coordinate production, rehearsals, staging and publicity.

Preparations and preliminary rehearsals are scheduled from November 9 to 21, with a final rehearsal and operational review set for 4 pm on November 22.
