The gifts were presented as part of a programme combining joint patrols and legal education along the Vietnam-China border. Sen Thuong and A Pa Chai border guard stations in Vietnam, together with the Jinping Regional Meeting and Talks Station in China, organised the event for students from both countries.
A total of 40 gift packages, each worth VND 500,000 (USD 19), were presented to students on both sides of the border, bringing the total value to VND 20 million (USD 769). The gifts were funded through contributions from Dantri readers.

Sung Thi Truc Linh, a fifth-grade student at Sin Thau Primary School, was delighted to receive a gift. She said the exchange and legal education activities had helped her better understand the importance of obeying the law, protecting the border and boundary markers, and the younger generation's responsibility for preserving friendship between the two countries.
Alongside the gift-giving, border guard forces from both countries conducted a joint patrol from Border Marker 2 to Border Marker 3. They also distributed legal education leaflets in Vietnamese and Chinese at Border Marker 3 to raise public awareness of border regulations.

Lieutenant Colonel Tran Ba Liem, head of Sen Thuong Border Guard Station, said the unit would continue working with other forces and local authorities to carry out practical activities, with a focus on raising public awareness of legal compliance and encouraging residents to help protect the border and its markers.
Lieutenant Colonel Ly Anh Cuong, head of the Jinping Regional Meeting and Talks Station, thanked Sen Thuong Border Guard Station for its careful preparations and close cooperation.
Cuong said the programme had made a positive contribution to cooperation between the two units and expressed his hope that they would organise more joint patrols and legal education activities in the future.
Cooperation between the two countries' border guard forces, together with contributions from Dantri readers, not only helps children in border areas with their education but also spreads a spirit of sharing and care for young people, further strengthening solidarity and friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and China.
