Vietnam performed better and scored twice in the second half, taking the lead in the 28th and 39th minutes. Matches at the FIFA U15 World Cup & Festival 2026 consist of two 20-minute halves.
Cuba pulled a goal back in the 40th minute to make it 2-1, but could not prevent Vietnam from securing the victory.
This was Vietnam U15's fifth win at this year's tournament. In the semi-final of the play-off bracket for places 81-84, Vietnam will face hosts Azerbaijan U15, who have just beaten Mozambique U15 5-0. A win would send Vietnam into the final for the highest available placing in that bracket.
