Hanoi to hold fireworks display for Vietnam Culture Day

Hanoi will stage a special arts programme and fireworks display at My Dinh National Stadium on November 24 to celebrate Vietnam Culture Day 2026.

The event, approved under a plan signed by Hanoi People's Committee Chairman Vu Dai Thang, will begin at 8 pm on Tuesday, November 24, at the stadium in Tu Liem Ward.

The programme will last no more than 120 minutes, with fireworks incorporated into the performances and a display at the end. The total duration of the fireworks will not exceed 15 minutes.

According to the city government, the event aims to highlight the role of culture in national development and celebrate Vietnam's cultural heritage, patriotism, national unity and identity.

The performances will trace the development of Vietnamese culture from its origins to the present and future, combining traditional arts with contemporary creativity and modern stage technology.

The event will also link Vietnam Culture Day on November 24 with the Great National Unity Festival on November 18, forming part of a series of activities promoting cultural values and community solidarity.

Organisers aim to showcase Hanoi's cultural heritage and its role as a centre of creativity and cultural exchange.

The programme will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television (VTV), with Hanoi's press, radio and television agency also providing live coverage across its channels and digital platforms.

Large LED screens will be installed at selected locations to allow people farther from the main venue to watch the event.
