BIGBANG ticket resale prices skyrocket ahead of Hanoi concerts

Resellers are asking up to VND 50 million (USD 1,900) for a pair of BIGBANG Diamond VIP tickets ahead of the group's October 24-25 concerts in Hanoi, more than double the original price.

Ticket resale activity remained brisk ahead of the first concert at My Dinh National Stadium on October 24, with some tickets advertised at several times their face value, according to Dân trí reporters.

A pair of Diamond VIP tickets, originally costing VND 19.6 million, was being offered for VND 50 million, a markup of VND 30.4 million.

Tuong Uyen, born in 2004 and studying in Australia, said she bought two Diamond VIP tickets for VND 19.6 million through the official website when sales opened.

She travelled from HCM City to Hanoi with her sister and a friend to attend the South Korean group's concert.

Although she could make a substantial profit by reselling the tickets, Uyen said she had no intention of doing so.

She also rented an apartment near My Dinh National Stadium for VND 5 million a day and estimated her personal spending at nearly VND 20 million, including around VND 4 million for flights and VND 1.7 million for a BIGBANG lightstick.

Official tickets for the two concerts, scheduled for October 24 and 25, have sold out, prompting fans to seek tickets through resale groups and individual sellers.

CAT 5 tickets, originally priced at VND 1 million, were advertised for around VND 3 million, while CAT 4 tickets, initially costing VND 2 million, were offered for approximately VND 5 million.

However, advertised prices do not necessarily reflect completed transactions.

Another fan, Ho Nhat Minh, said he spent around VND 25 million travelling from HCM City to Hanoi for the concert.

His expenses included VND 10 million for return flights, VND 9 million for two resale CAT 3 tickets, VND 3 million for three nights' accommodation and another VND 3 million for meals and transport.

The two tickets cost VND 2 million more than their combined original price.

Minh said he arranged the purchase through a concert ticket resale group and completed the transaction at the stadium after exchanging the ticket codes for admission wristbands.

Large crowds gathered at the stadium on October 22 and 23 to collect wristbands ahead of the concerts, including fans travelling from other provinces and cities.

Demand for accommodation near the stadium has also surged.

Hotels and apartments near My Dinh National Stadium were almost fully booked for October 24-25, according to accommodation platform Agoda.

According to Trip.com, flight bookings to Hanoi for October 23-26 rose 74 per cent from the same period in 2025, while passenger numbers increased 76 per cent.

Overall travel demand for the capital in October increased 45 per cent.

Visitors were arriving from HCM City and Danang, as well as overseas cities including Seoul, Busan, Taipei and Nagoya.

With official tickets sold out, fans have been advised to check ticket authenticity and transfer conditions carefully amid reports of resale scams circulating on social media.
