Later that day, the central stadium will host the final of Bac Ha's August horse racing series, featuring local highland riders.
Visitors can also explore Bac Ha's buffalo market on August 29 and September 5, while its renowned Sunday market on August 30 will showcase traditional clothing, local produce and everyday highland life.
Local specialities include thang co, sour pho, corn cakes and Ban Pho corn liquor, alongside handmade brocade products.
An arts programme at Bac Ha Cultural Market on August 29 will feature traditional dances and folk music, followed by cultural performances at Hoang A Tuong Palace from August 30 to September 1.
A culinary event on August 31 will introduce a traditional Bac Ha meal, showcasing dishes and food culture of local ethnic communities.
From September 1-2, Hoang A Tuong Palace will host an experience themed "Taste of Autumn on Bac Ha's White Plateau", where visitors can sample and learn to make com, or young green rice, using traditional methods.
The activity aims to link tourism with agriculture and local livelihoods while offering visitors a hands-on cultural experience.
A community walk will also be held on August 30 to promote physical activity, environmental protection and healthy lifestyles.
During the festival, visitors can explore other attractions including Bac Ha Temple, Ngai Thau Hill, Na Hoi grasslands and the villages of Ban Pho, Phec Bung and Nam Tho, as well as Ban Zai Waterfall and surrounding mountain areas.
Held around Vietnam's September 2 National Day holiday, the festival aims to showcase Bac Ha's landscapes, ethnic culture, cuisine, agricultural products and community life.
