Doctors said Khanh was admitted in early November 2025 in extremely critical condition, suffering from septic shock, severe bloodstream infection, gastrointestinal perforation and multiple organ failure on the background of allergic vasculitis.

He required intensive resuscitation with a range of expensive medications. With limited financial means, the family was forced to seek public support to continue his treatment.

After Dantri published an article about Khanh’s circumstances, readers and benefactors donated a total of VND 624.7 million through the newspaper. The family also received more than VND 380 million given directly at the hospital or transferred to Hang’s personal account. In total, support has exceeded VND 1 billion.

Khanh’s condition has since improved significantly. He no longer needs costly medications, is responding well to treatment and continues rehabilitation to regain strength.

Given the positive progress, the family has asked to stop receiving further donations so that support can be redirected to other families in need.

Doctors said that if intensive care and rehabilitation continue according to protocol, Khanh could be discharged soon and gradually return to school.
