Dantri/Dtinews Newspaper transfers 13 new houses built from readers' donations for poor families in Cao Bang Province on November 27.
The total support reached VND 888.9 million (approximately USD 34,200), contributed by Dantri’s readers, philanthropists and companies.
At the inauguration ceremony on November 27, Dantri’s Editor-in-Chief Pham Tuan Anh expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of Cao Bang Province, its departments and local authorities for facilitating the newspaper's social welfare projects.
According to Pham, from April, 2024 to August 31, 2025, responding to the prime minister’s call to end ramshackle housing and dilapidated homes, Dantri launched a nationwide initiative to build 200 new houses for the poor. To date the programme has exceeded its target with 231 homes completed, 194 of which have been completed, including 28 across Cao Bang.
"Many families lost their homes due to natural disasters and floods in recent years," he said. "Dantri considers housing assistance a continuous and regular programme to help people in hardship. The newspaper will continue collaborating with local authorities to mobilise resources and support vulnerable communities."

The editor in chief also thanked readers for their trust and ongoing support of Dantri’s charitable endeavours.
At the ceremony, Dantri awarded gifts to 20 underprivileged students in Hoa An Commune, each worth VND 500,000 (USD 21). Lt-General Tran Minh Le, head of the Ministry of Public Security's Training Department, and Major-General Pham Van Son, deputy head of the department, presented house-warming gifts to the new homeowners.

After the ceremony, provincial leaders, representatives of the Training Department and Dantri visited the home of Be Thi Loan, a 64-year-old farmer living in Hamlet 3, Hoa An. Her household includes her 42-year-old son who is disabled. With support from Dantri readers amounting to VND 81.8 million (USD 3,400) and local authorities adding VND 20 million (USD 833), she borrowed from relatives and bank credit to build a sturdy 72-square-metre house at a total cost of around VND 300 million (USD 12,500).
