The 10-hectare resettlement area, located about two kilometres from the old village, is home to 40 two-storey houses designed in the traditional stilt house style of the Tay people. Each house covers an area of about 100 square metres.
These days, the residents are cleaning their new homes, planting trees, vegetables and flowers, and getting ready for a fresh start.
Facilities such as a cultural centre and schools have also been constructed.
Most of the work at the resettlement area has been completed.
