Vu Van Vo, 15 years old, from Hung Ha District is now staying at Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi for intensive treatment which is very costly.

Doctor Pham Cong Tan who is providing the treatment to him said that he was hospitalised following a high fever with sore throat and then abnormal heart rhythm.
Due to his critical condition, he has to use cardiopulmonary bypass machines. The treatment costs around VND120 million (USD5,454) for between 5 and 7 days, excluding other kinds of medicines. Meanwhile, he also has to take blood purification because of kidney failure, adding more to the treatment fees.
To date, his condition has partially improved, but his family can’t afford the continued treatment.
Dang Thi Nhieu, Vo’s mother, said that her family does not know how to have more money for his further treatment.
Vo’s health was previously quite normal although he suffered from kidney function, but after the high fever, he faced the death risk.
