A total of US$45,000 was raised from a gala night during the 7th fund raising for charity in southern Binh Duong province on December 13.
The money was donated to support the poor for building houses, schools and granting scholarships to students from Binh Duong province.
Nearly 100 businesses sold goods produced in the VSIP to workers at cost prices.
The event was organised by the management board of the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) in southern Binh Duong province and the Vietnam-Singapore Joint Venture Company.
The company’s General Director, Nguyen Phu Thinh, said that the VSIP charity fund will continue to contribute more to the community. The company Thermtrol, who operates in VSIP, donated US$10,000.
