According to the National Statistics Office's latest report, the number of new companies rose 26.5 per cent year-on-year, while registered capital increased 12.3 per cent and the number of workers rose 16.3 per cent.
The average registered capital of each new enterprise in October was VND 9.6 billion (approximately USD 370,000), down 2.6 per cent from the previous month and 11.2 per cent year-on-year.
In addition, 11,600 companies resumed operations during the month, up 7.9 per cent from September and 33.9 per cent from a year earlier.
Meanwhile, 6,065 enterprises registered to temporarily suspend operations, an increase of 32.9 per cent from the previous month and 11.2 per cent year-on-year.
Over the first 10 months of 2025, 162,900 new enterprises were established, with total registered capital of more than VND 1.59 quadrillion (approximately USD 61.2 billion) and 967,600 workers. This represents increases of 19.7 per cent in the number of firms, 21.4 per cent in registered capital and 18.6 per cent in employment compared to the same period of 2024.
The average registered capital of a newly formed enterprise during the period was VND 9.8 billion (approximately USD 377,000), up 1.4 per cent year-on-year.
During the same period, 255,900 enterprises resumed operations, rising 26.5 per cent from a year earlier.
Meanwhile, 105,400 firms temporarily suspended operations, up 14.4 per cent; 58,400 enterprises halted operations while awaiting dissolution, down 8.3 per cent; and 26,800 completed dissolution procedures, up 54.5 per cent.
