According to the Ministry of Health, Patient 3055 was taken to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases on April 24 due to Covid-19 infection and the effects of a traffic accident. He was also diagnosed with cephalomeningitis.
Vietnam has recorded its 37th Covid-19 fatality
Despite being given intensive treatment, his condition did not improve.
He then faced severe pneumonia due to Covid-19, brain injury, and meningitis. The patient died on Sunday evening.
He made the country’s 37th Covid-19 death after the 36th reported last Saturday from Bac Ninh who was an 89-year-old woman.
To date, most of Vietnam’s Covid-19 fatalities are early people with underlying medical conditions such as diabetes and kidney failure.
