Vietnam, China hold first deputy minister-level security dialogue

The first deputy minister-level security dialogue between Vietnam and China was held in Hanoi on July 30, which is the result of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to China in April 2015.

The first deputy minister-level security dialogue between Vietnam and China was held in Hanoi on July 30, which is the result of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to China in April 2015. 
The dialogue signified the two sides' willingness to step up cooperation between the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security and the China Ministry of State Security as a contribution to maintaining political stability and the national security of each country.

Public Security Deputy Minister To Lam said the relationship between the two ministries has grown considerably, noting that both sides have made greater efforts to build a relationship for mutual benefit, thus making security a pillar in the relations between the two countries. 

Chinese  Deputy Minister of State Security Dong Haizhou in turn highlighted the dialogue an important step in the relationship between the two sides and believed it would elevate the comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level.
