The HCM City Public Transport Management Centre said it investigated the incident after a passenger's complaint was posted on social media.
The complaint was checked against data from the city's electronic bus management system and other information related to the journey.
The incident occurred at 8.02 am on September 24 on bus route 152, which runs from Trung Son Residential Area through Ben Thanh to Tan Son Nhat International Airport and is operated by Phuong Trang Futa Bus Lines JSC.
During the journey, the attendant argued with a passenger and used inappropriate language and behaviour before pushing the passenger and telling them to get off the bus.
The centre said the conduct breached service and communication standards for public transport staff.
Following an initial investigation, the operator was ordered to immediately suspend the attendant while the case is further reviewed and handled under regulations.
The centre also asked the operator to review its management practices and strengthen staff training and supervision.
Further action will be taken based on the investigation to protect passengers' rights and prevent similar incidents, the centre said.
