According to the police in Dien Chau District, at around 2 am on Sunday, they were informed about a seven-seat car that was transporting some wild animals from Ha Tinh Province’s Huong Son District to Nghe An.

The two men arrested for transporting the tigers illegally
The police verified the case. At roughly 4 am on the same day, the police found the car on a road in Dien Ky Commune, Dien Chau District.
When being asked to stop, the driver ignored and tried to continue driving the car into a nearby urban area to escape. However, the police quickly caught the vehicle which was transporting the seven tigers.
The two in the car were arrested. They were the driver, Tran Trung Hieu and Nguyen Van Lai, who are both from Ha Tinh’s Huong Son District.

The tigers are transported from Ha Tinh to Nghe An
Lai said that a Lao person whose name has not yet been identified hired him to bring the animals to Dien Chau District. He was paid VND5 million (USD217.39) for the work.
The case is still under further investigation.
On Sunday, the tigers were handed over to Pu Mat National Park in Nghe An.
