Storm Damrey is heading for southern central region of Vietnam, according to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.

The centre has forecasted that the typhoon may affect regional localities, particularly Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces tomorrow morning, November 4.

At early this morning, the storm was some 500km far the east of the coast and is predicted to affect localities early tomorrow morning with wind speeds of 100-135 km per hour.

It will weaken into a tropical low pressure in the next 36 hours.

Coastal areas from Quang Ngai to Binh Thuan provinces have strong wind and rough sea on November 3-4. The same situation has also seen in coastal areas from Quang Tri to Quang Nam provinces.

The National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting has also warned flash floods and landslides from Ha Tinh to Binh Thuan provinces as well as some areas in the Central Highlands region.
