Earlier that morning, residents discovered that several cars parked along Lac Long Quan Street, near its intersection with Nguyen Hoang Ton Street, had been damaged. The incident was subsequently reported to authorities.
Images and videos circulating on social media appeared to show at least four vehicles affected, including a Mercedes. The cars sustained long cuts and slashes to their body panels, while some windows were shattered.
Most of the damage was concentrated on the right-hand side of the vehicles, particularly around the driver's door and rear passenger doors.
The incident has attracted widespread attention online, with many social media users expressing anger and calling for those responsible to be identified and punished in accordance with the law.
Some commenters also questioned whether the vehicles had been parked legally at the location overnight.
Police in Tay Ho Ward are continuing their investigation to establish the circumstances of the incident and identify those responsible.
