Police are searching for a man in connection with the killing of four family members over an agriculture land dispute in Yen Bai Province on August 12.

A married couple, their child and the wife's sister, were found murdered on a paddy field in Lam Giang Commune.
Police want to question Dang Van Hung, a neighbour of the victims. It is alleged that he killed all four people with a large knife then fled into the forest with his girlfriend, carrying a gun.
Phan Van Chung, father of two of the victims, said his daughter phoned him and said Hung was beating up her husband and she didn't know what to do. "I hurried to the scene (and) found the bodies of my daughter and grand-daughter inside a tent."

The bodies of the married couple were found on the forest edge.
Initial investigations indicate the murder was caused by a dispute over paddy fields and water between Hung and the victims. Hung's girlfriend allegedly came to Chung's house to threaten them with a beating.
