A petrol station in Hanoi has been burnt down after a tanker caught fire and exploded this afternoon, July 5.

The fire broke out at 2.25pm at a Housinco 2 Petrol Joint Stock Company petrol station in Den Lu street in Hoang Mai District when the tanker was pumping petrol.

According to local people, they heard a loud explosion noise and then saw huge fire and smoke coming from the station.
Firefighters were sent in shortly after and were able to stop the fire at around 3pm. At the site, the roof of the station have collapsed, the pumping facilities and several motorbikes were also burnt down.
