Over VND94m donated to sick widow

Pham Van Lan and Pham Van Trung are ninth graders at Hai Tan Secondary School. Their father died after a traffic accident in 2006 so their mother has to shoulder everything to raise them. Unfortunately, their mother was diagnosed with breast cancer not long ago.

Tran Thi Quynh Phuong, a teacher at Hai Tan Secondary School, said, "The brothers discussed and wanted one of them to stay home to take care of their mother as their 80-year-old grandmother is too weak."

Lan said he wanted to drop out of school but their grandmother and teacher didn't agree. Their mother said she worried about the children's future and wanted them to continue their study.

"They are good boys and haven't done anything to worry me. They're my pride," Cao Thi Hue, Lan and Trung's mother, said.

Hue was surprised when being transferred VND94,500,000 donation from kind readers. Hue thanked everyone who helped her children continue their study and for her to be able to continue her chemotherapy sessions.
