The northern region of Vietnam has been forecasted to see the first cold snap in September.

According to the National Centre for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, between September and November, the East Sea could experience 5-7 storms, equal to the same in previous years. However, more storms would hit the mainland during the period, mostly concentrated in the central and southern regions.

In September, the hot weather would remain in northern and central localities.

From September to October, the northern region’s rainfall would rise 10-30 percent on-year.

The first cold spell has been predicted to happen in the northern region in September and would increase between November and December.

The rainy season in the Central Highlands and southern regions would end late December, later than usual.
