The police detained four men including Nguyen Nhat Phu, Bui Lap Truong, Phan Thanh Son and Nguyen Van Thuc. The fight between two groups of 60 men broke out on Ha Ra Bridge at 11.30 pm. After the petrol bomb set fire on the bridge, they continued the fight with knives, machetes, and airsoft guns.

After receiving the news, the police quickly arrived at the scene and fired several shots in the air to stop the fight.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Do Xuan Kieu in Khanh Hoa Province said, "We had to fire because they were very aggressive. There would have been severe consequences if they had not been stopped in time. The police arrived not long after they threw the gas bombs. They scattered away immediately when we came so there were no fatalities. One man was slightly injured."

Initial reports show that two men fought with each other and it escalated. One of the men gathered 30 people in Phuoc Long Ward. The other man also gathered 30 people and attacked with petrol bombs.

The detained men said they only helped out in the fight. They don't know what the fight was about.
