On Thursday morning, the police at Ward 2, Tan Binh District, saw the group, including six men and two women, gathering at Hoang Van Thu Park.
The Chinese people aged between 21 and 45 consist of Wang Yuzhen, Huang Zhen, Lai Yuxiong, Lin Chaoyin, Xie Xinjun, Zheng Rushan, Tang Xiaofeng and Lu Meiling.

Among those, only six could show their passports. But none of them included stamps from Vietnamese immigration authorities.
They people said that they had come to Vietnam through the northern Vietnamese border gates and then took ferries to HCM City.
Since Wednesday afternoon, HCM City has found 30 Chinese people in Binh Thanh and Tan Phu wards who illegally entered Vietnam.
The HCM City People’s Committee on Thursday ordered temporary closure of establishments providing non-essential services in the city, including bars and nightclubs, as of midnight July 31 until further notice.
The decision was made to curb the spread of the pandemic, after two locally-transmitted cases of Covid-19 were detected in the city in the past few days.
