According to the Hai Phong Centre for Preventive Health, the 26-year-old male patient tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on June 16 while staying at a local quarantine area after being discharged from hospital on June 8.
The man returned from Russia on May 13 and tested positive for the virus the same day. He had been successfully treated at the Thai Binh Provincial General Hospital and was released on June 8 after testing negative for SARS-CoV-2 for four times.
"After being found re-infected with the virus, the patient was sent to Viet Tiep Hospital for treatment, the centre said "He is now in a stable condition with no fever or cough."
Earlier on June 15, a 34-year-old woman also tested positive for the virus 10 days after recovering. She is being treated at Gia Vien District Medical Centre in stable condition.
