As the Covid-19 situation in the country is becoming more complicated, Minister Dung also mentioned some groups that need special care including family members of dead soldiers, the elderly, women, children and people who don't have a stable job.

"We have to ensure safety for people first," the minister added. "Next we need to make sure people have enough food and necessities. Ho Chi Minh City is doing well in distributing financial support for local people."

To reach the targets set for the final months of this year, minister Dung requested to speed up economic development in areas that have not been hit by the pandemic.

"We need to protect the industrial parks first as they are the driving force of the economy," he said. "We will face lots of challenges if the pandemic hits industrial areas in Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Ho Chi Minh City.
