The force detected a group of 29 Vietnamese citizens trying to cross a border river in Quang Ninh’s Mong Cai city at 6:15 pm on July 30.
The people arrested while illegally entering Vietnam from China
On the same day at around 3:20 pm, the force also found another group of 16 people who were attempting to enter Vietnam illegally through the same river.
After being detained, all of these people were sent to a quarantine zone in the province for Covid-19 prevention and control.
At the police station, the people confessed that they had come to China illegally to work through border areas in the northern provinces of Cao Bang, Lang Son and Ha Giang.
Over the past five days, border guards in the Bac Son area have continuously discovered people entering Vietnam illegally through border rivers.
