At 3:30pm on June 15, Lao Cai police discovered and arrested Hoang Van Hinh from Lao Cai named for illegally possessing 13 bricks of heroin and six packs of methamphetamine.

The same day, the inspection team arrested two men, Do Trong Khanh and Luu Binh Liem from Lao Cai as they were in the process of smuggling drugs for personal consumption. Police confiscated 70 cakes of heroin and six packs of methamphetamine.

At the police station, the three men admitted to being long term drug addicts. They told police that they bought the drugs for personal use and for selling to other addicts in Lao Cai province.

The case is still under further investigation.
