The Covid-19 vaccination in HCM City
According to the HCM City’s Department of Health, by September 19, HCM City administered 8.77 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine, including 6.73 million doses for the first shot of 93.5% of the local population aged from 18 and 2.03 million doses for the second shot.
Among the city’s kinds of Covid-19 vaccine, AstraZeneca accounted for 5.16 million doses, followed by Vero Cell with 2.36 million doses, Pfizer with 607,474 doses, Moderna with 635,960.
From September 30 and October 31, the city will need around an additional 6.03 million doses. Of the sum, 472,000 will be for the first shot with the remainder for the second. The majority will be AstraZeneca vaccine.
