On the afternoon of July 8, HCM City faced heavy rain, resulting in inundation for many local streets. Nguyen Huu Canh Street in Binh Thanh District was the worst affected.
Shops along the two sides of Nguyen Huu Canh Street were seriously affected.
Many motorbikes had to travel on pavements to avoid the flooding.
A woman said that the scene looks like the flooding in the central region of Vietnam during the flooding season.
Lots of cars suffered engine stalls. Some young people stood at the hardest-hit spots to warn people
