While patrolling National Highway 32 in Vat Lai Commune on September 3, the traffic police stopped a truck suspected of carrying goods of unknown origin from Son Tay, acting on a tip-off. They inspected the vehicle and found cartons labelled in foreign languages containing 1,832 household electronic products, including rechargeable fans and chargers.

However, the driver failed to present any documents verifying the origin of the goods. He admitted that he had collected the goods from various sources with the intention of reselling them in the Son Tay-Quang Oai-Vat Lai area for profit.

The market surveillance force confirmed that the entire shipment originated from China and had no valid documents to prove its origin.

The man was then ordered to destroy all the seized items.
