One hundred and eighteen of Hanoi’s 121 public bus routes have resumed full operation beginning from today, February 8, according to the Hanoi Transportation Corporation (Transerco).

The 118 routes that connect destinations with low risk of Covid-19 infections will resume full capacity operations, Transerco said.
The three routes 50, 57, and 116 have the starting and final points lying in areas with a high risk of Covid-19 infections and will continue to operate at half capacity.
Public buses in Hanoi resumed operations at half capacity on October 14, 2021 after three months of suspension for Covid-19 prevention.
According to Transerco, the number of Transerco’s bus passengers using monthly tickets decreased by 63 percent in 2021 against 2020's figure.
The firm’s staff work on rotation after having a salary cut of 70 percent.
Last year, Transerco sold 12.49 million tickets, down 72 percent against the year’s target and 63 percent on-year.
The company’s revenues in 2021 were estimated at VND2.12 trillion (USD91.37 million).
