Hanoi’s Department of Tourism and the Vietnam-Hanoi Tourism Joint Stock Company have inaugurated a second Tourist Information and Support Centre.
The centre at 2 Le Thai To Street, Hoan Kiem District is located near many the city’s historical and cultural sites.
Hanoi opens second tourist information centre
The centre will provide information about tourist sites, restaurants, transportation, hotels, and entertainment in Hanoi.
Maps and tourist publications are provided free of charge. Tourists can also get support in booking tours, air, train and car tickets as well as phone cards.
It will also receive opinions about tourism services to contribute to the development of the city’s tourism sector.
The centre will offer four free walking tours to discover the Old Quarter and the space around Hoan Kiem Lake for 1.5-2 hours. Visitors will be taken to visit pagodas and temples as well as traditional handicraft streets.
Many young people who are from students at universities in Hanoi have registered to act as volunteer tour guides.
