Hanoi will plant one million new trees and build 25 public parks in the next five years, said People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung at a meeting with Danish Ambassador Charlotte Laursen on May 31.

At the meeting, Chung said that Hanoi encouraged foreign companies, including those from European countries, to invest in different areas such as hi-tech and IT. He also noted that the city has accelerated administrative reform to improve its investment environment.
Ambassador Charlotte Laursen said that many Danish businesses which are operating in Hanoi want to invest in the country in the field of renewable energy, particularly wind energy.
According to Chairman Chung, Hanoi has also carried out more measures for the local environmental protection. The city plans to plant million trees and build 25 public parks.
