Today, July 2, Deputy Minister of Health Truong Quoc Cuong received the kits which were provided by the German states of Hamburg, Bremen, Mecklenburg – Vorpommern and Sachsen-Anhalt through the World University Service (WUS).

The kits were granted to the Vietnamese Ministry of Health on July 2
At the gifting ceremony, Cuong expressed his great thanks to Germany. He hoped that the two-country health co-operation would be further boosted.
"The Ministry of Health will distribute the kits to localities which are facing the pandemic outbreak,” Cuong added.
At the event, Guido Hildner, German Ambassador to Vietnam, said the gift was part of Germany’s plan to supply Vietnam with roughly one million Covid-19 quick test kits in the coming time.
Last year, Vietnam provided 100,000 face masks for the German government when the country suffered from the spread of Covid-19. The Vietnamese community in Germany jointly donated 100,000 face masks for German states. They also cooked free meals for German medical facilities.
