According to the ministry's report, the two Vietnamese patients include a 55-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman who returned from the Czech Republic on November 22 at the Can Tho International Airport.
They were sent to a quarantine area in Vinh Long Province upon arrival and tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 on November 23.
The two patients are now being treated at a hospital in Vinh Long.

With these new infection cases, the number of imported Covid-19 patients in Vietnam has increased to 625.
As of 6 pm on November 24, a total of 1,153 Covid-19 patients had recovered and been discharged from hospital. There have been 35 deaths, most of them being the elderly with serious underlying diseases.
The country has gone 82 days without reporting any new case in the community.
At present, over 15,772 people who had close contact with Covid-19 patients or returned from virus-hit areas are being monitored at hospitals, quarantine facilities, and at home.
