The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across northern Vietnam and the north-central region from the evening of May 28 to May 29, with rainfall ranging from 15mm to 30mm and some areas receiving more than 80mm.
Weather authorities warned that localized heavy rain could trigger flash floods along small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and urban flooding in low-lying areas.
