Police in Bac Ninh Province are investigating a particularly serious murder case that occurred in Viet Yen Ward on June 20, leaving four people dead and one person injured.

According to preliminary findings, the attack took place at around 6 pm when Nguyen Van Tuyen, 36, from Bac Lung Commune, allegedly entered a house armed with a knife following a relationship dispute with a 31-year-old woman.
Authorities said the woman, her 10-year-old son and her six-year-old daughter were killed in the attack.
A 15-year-old foster sister who lived with the family suffered serious injuries and was taken to Viet Yen General Hospital for emergency treatment.
After the attack, Tuyen reportedly went to the second floor of the house and took his own life.
Local authorities said the woman had previously divorced and was living with her daughter, younger foster sister and parents.
Her 10-year-old son normally lived with his father and had recently come to stay with his mother during the summer holiday. He had been at the house for only a few days before the incident occurred.
The woman's parents were not at home when the attack took place.
Investigators are continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the case and determine the full sequence of events.
