A Vinh Thinh Commune People’s Committee official confirmed on October 26 that the fire had killed the father and son.

According to preliminary information from local authorities, the fire broke out at around 4am that day in a family home in Vinh Thai Hamlet. Members of the local security team were the first to discover the blaze.
Emergency services arrived to extinguish the fire and found two people dead inside the house. The victims were identified as a 33-year-old man and his 13-year-old son.
The man’s parents were also living in the house at the time of the fire, but they escaped without injury.
Investigators from Gia Lai Province Police have secured the scene and are working with relevant agencies to determine the cause of the fire.
