Dong Nai authorities have approved a land-use plan for La Nga Forestry One Member Limited Liability Company, under which more than 10,000 hectares in Thanh Son Commune will be transferred to the national park.
The company currently manages more than 19,000 hectares, including 18,273 hectares in Thanh Son Commune and 810 hectares in Dinh Quan.

Most of the land is classified as agricultural, including more than 16,000 hectares of production forest, of which over 9,000 hectares are natural forest.
Under the approved plan, the company will retain more than 8,500 hectares and transfer over 10,000 hectares in Thanh Son to Cat Tien National Park.
The move follows a government resolution issued on July 16 transferring management of the park from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to Dong Nai authorities.
Cat Tien National Park currently covers more than 71,000 hectares, spanning nearly 44,000 hectares in Dong Nai and 27,300 hectares in Lam Dong province.
In 2001, UNESCO recognised Cat Tien as a World Biosphere Reserve, making it Vietnam's second such reserve.
