HCM City promotes Autumn Economic Forum 2026 in Seoul

Ho Chi Minh City has promoted its Autumn Economic Forum (AEF) 2026 in Seoul, South Korea, seeking to reach international businesses and investors in one of Asia's leading financial and tourism hubs.

The forum's organisers said promotional images and messages were displayed on large digital screens in Myeongdong, a popular shopping and pedestrian centre in Seoul, over the weekend of October 24-25.

The campaign was aimed at raising the forum's international profile and highlighting Ho Chi Minh City's commitment to expanding global economic cooperation.

According to the organisers, Myeongdong's popularity among international tourists and South Korean residents makes it an effective location for reaching a broad audience, including potential business partners and investors.

South Korea has long been one of Ho Chi Minh City's key strategic partners, and the campaign is expected to help strengthen bilateral economic ties.

The Autumn Economic Forum 2026, themed "Spirit of Cooperation in a New Era", is being held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 26 to 29.

The event is organised under the direction of Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. It is implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (HCMC C4IR), in cooperation with the World Economic Forum (WEF) and domestic and international partners.

The forum is expected to attract around 1,500 Vietnamese and international delegates, with discussions focusing on cooperation, technology and new drivers of economic growth.

Organisers also plan to announce 12 investment projects by domestic and foreign businesses, with combined registered capital exceeding USD 13 billion. The projects span sectors including logistics, energy and infrastructure.

The organisers said they had received confirmations from 22 international delegation representatives, including those from the Philippines, the United Kingdom, India, Cambodia, Myanmar, the United States and China.
