Four Chinese men have been detained in the central city of Danang after being accused of illegally-entering Vietnam.

The four Chinese were questioned on Sunday near the Hai Van Tunnel while being transported in a seven-seat car.

The Chinese people only showed their identity cards and no official entry papers.

The four and the driver Dinh Xuan Hien, 29, from the northern province of Thai Binh have been handed over to Hoa Hiep Bac Ward’s police.

Hien said that he was paid VND20 million (USD869.56) to carry them from Hanoi to HCM City.

On December 21, the Danang police also stopped six Chinese people who hired a car to go from Hanoi to Quang Ngai Province after illegally entering Vietnam.
