Five women and a two-year-old child are rescued while illegally entering the country from China on February 16.

Ly Van Border Guard Station reported that they found two Vietnamese men who had illegally crossed the border in Ly Quoc Commune, Ha Lang District from China into Vietnam at 1.30 pm on February 16.

The men, 31-year-old Ly Seo Sua and 47-year-old Dau Cong Dung, said that they were part of a group that included five women and a two-year-old child, and they were stuck on the mountain due to rainy weather.


Ly Van Border Guard Station immediately put together a rescue team.

After three hours, the team had successfully brought the five women and the child down safely. The women were mostly young and were originally from the southern provinces of Kien Giang, Bac Lieu, and Tra Vinh. They have been sent to quarantine facilities in their hometowns for Covid-19 prevention.
