On Monday morning, many people brought goods to households on Cau Dat Street. They are the households which have been put under quarantine since July 31 following the detection of some Covid-19 infection cases.

Local authorities used the three cars and 20 volunteers carried goods supplied to the sealed-off area.

Besides the electric cars, motorbikes were also mobilised for the work in case of a sharp rise in supplies, said Nguyen Trung Nghia, head of the voluntary group.

After being sterilised, the goods were taken into the cars for delivery to households.

Nghia added that the group is divided into three teams. The first specialises in receiving the goods. The second writes down the information of households and the third carries the goods.

The group gets the goods from 8-10 am and 2-4 pm every day. The young volunteers are keen to help in the Covid-19 mitigation work.
